REGISTRATION
When will the store and registration be open?
Registration is open! Visit our store to get your registrations and swag.
Do I have to pay for registration?
No. GeoWoodstock X is free to attend. With the free registration you are welcome and encouraged to attend the event. Free registration includes a generic name badge only.
There are other levels of registration that include the official GeoWoodstock X name badge, meals, event swag, etc. Be sure to check them out before you make your decision.
Why would I want to pay for one of the registration levels?
Each registration level has been uniquely designed to provide you a variety of options. The more you pay the better the swag! It's totally up to you.
When will tickets be available for the Belle of Louisville cruise?
Belle of Louisville tickets were extremely popular and have sold out. If you really need a ticket, you might be able to find someone with an extra in the forum.
Can I make a donation to help fund GeoWoodstock X?
Absolutely! Deep pockets don't exist for GeoWoodstock hosts. The event is hosted by everyday geocachers just like you. Each year hosts work hard at planning an unforgettable event on a shoestring budget.
Is my donation tax deductible?
No. GeoWoodstock X is not registered as a not for profit group.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Is camping available in the area?
Absolutely. There are a number of campgrounds nearby. There is a KOA located in Clarksville. Indiana DNR (IDNR) has several locations available. Check Deam Lake, Charlestown State Park, O'Bannon Woods and Clark State Forest. IDNR sites open for booking six months prior your stay.
Will discounts be available for hotels?
The Planning Team is currently working with the tourism bureau for both Southern Indiana and Louisville to secure discounted pricing. More information will be posted on the website once arrangements have been finalized.
Will I have trouble getting a hotel?
Hotels shouldn't be an issue. There are 18,000 hotel rooms available in the metro Louisville area.
AREA ATTRACTIONS
Can kayaks and bicycles be rented in the area?
There is kayaking and canoe rental in Louisville, from outfitters on the Blue River in Southern Indiana and near Mammoth Cave in central Kentucky. Bicycles can be rental for a leisurely cache run along the Ohio River.
