VOLUNTEERS

First off, I want to personally thank each and every one of you for your support with GeoWoodstock! It is coming along GREAT and without each of you, we would not even be close! So, thank you from the bottom of my (and the other 3 hosts) heart(s)!!

What I am looking for  is IF you can volunteer and where you would like to volunteer. Mind you, this is not an all day shift, people will be put into 1 – 2 hour shifts. If you wanted to play poker, we just wont put you down after 1pm. So, please don’t think you have to work the entire event. I, of course, would not say NO if you wanted to!!! But, don’t think that is what we are asking.
Here are the areas we will need help:

1. Setup and knock down. This is starting at 7:30am and then knock down starts around 5pm (come and join in the with CITO for knock down! GC270X2, hosted by our friend Neoncacher! .)

2. Registrations. We will be needing people starting on Friday for the Friday Night Meet and Greet and then again Saturday. Saturday won’t be as bad as we are hoping most people will be picking up Friday night. So, the heaviest times are Friday from 3pm – 7pm and then Saturday from 9am – 12pm. We will still need a few people for the rest of the day Saturday, but we don’t think we will have to have a ton of people.

3. Information Booth: I will need additional volunteers to help me throughout the day.

4. Parking: Parking will be done mainly by Remlinger staff, but we will need people to help direct Travel Bug vehicles. Mind you, not just a car with a TB, but a car that is TOTALLY decked out. They will be able to park up front.

5. Lunch: We will need a few volunteers to help direct people into the eating area. You will be pretty much a bouncer! LOL Only people with tickets can eat and food must remain on the other side of the bridge.

6. VIP area: We will need another “bouncer” over in this area. This is a special place for our VIPs to go and just get away from the hussle and bussle.

7. TB area: They will need 8 volunteers at all times in this area. So, not as many as registrations, but they will require a lot of volunteers.

8. Vendors: We will be needing a few people to make sure the vendors are ok, bring them their lunch if needed and basic general help. You will not be working at their booth.

9.  GPS Accuracy Game:  We will be needing a few people to help us keep score of who's flag is the closest to the coordinates!

Again, thank you VERY much for everything you have done and are willing to do! This is going to be a GREAT GeoWoodstock!!!
